On Thursday night Tess and I watched the last episode of Frasier. We've been working on this series for about ten months so finishing it was a big deal. The last two episodes were really, really well done and managed to capture not just the passage of time (eleven years) in the life of Frasier and gang, but in our own lives, too.
Fitting then, that in the wake of a change of season for Frasier, we celebrated The Terrific Trio's fifth birthday on Saturday. Tess blogged about the party and I've posted pictures on Facebook that can be accessed even if you're not part of FB. Needless to say, it's somewhat emotional to pass this milestone. I'd write about it but right now my four kids have made a nuclear mess of the playroom and their bedroom. I need to go sort it all out. (At left: Sela on the playroom floor after cleaning it up.)

MC - Thank you so much for taking the time to make such a fab cake, and for getting photos up in the various places where people like yours truly are able to see the action! I'd have loved to have been there to enjoy and help, but judging by the pictures you all did VERY well with the smiles on the kids!

I thought the Princess cake you planned last year was the epitome of Birthday cakes even though the Princee looked like Shrek.
